August through October is peak hurricane season on the Atlantic and Gulf coasts. This month we're looking at what holds up when things get busy: communication when a storm is on the forecast, a financial report your ownership group has been asking for, and revenue protection in your contracts.
Everything moves faster when a storm is 48 hours out. Here's what to have ready.
Storm season doesn't wait for you to get organized. The marinas that handle it well have the infrastructure in place before the forecast changes: clean contact data, a policy ready to send, and a way to reach every slip holder at once. Here's how to make sure yours is ready, plus a five-category checklist to share with your team.

The Report Your Ownership Group Has Been Asking For
If your ownership group wants a rent roll and you've been building it manually every month, that changes now. Rent Roll in Dockwa shows every slip, occupied and vacant, as of a date you pick. It also shows which slips are occupied but underused, giving ownership the full picture without the monthly assembly work.
The Revenue Gaps Hiding In Your Contracts
A signed contract feels like a guarantee. Until it isn't. Outstanding balances age quietly during a busy season. Billing drifts from what's on file. No-shows leave slips open with no clear plan to recover the revenue. Captains & Contracts brings your slip assignments, contract terms, and billing into a single view so you can catch problems before they compound.
Service Is In Early Access
Work orders, job tracking, billing, and payment collection are now part of Dockwa — everything you need to run your marina, in one place.
ICYMI: Configure Tip Presets
Tip presets are now configurable in Dockwa POS. The percentages your card reader shows shape what staff take home, and you can now set them to fit how your marina actually sells.
