Dynamic Pricing for Marinas: The Revenue Your Peak Season Is Already Generating
Picture Fourth of July weekend. Your dock is full. There’s a waitlist. Boats are circling. Every slip is spoken for, and you’ve got three phone calls...
Dockwa started as a reservations platform. Over time it became the place marinas manage slip assignments, storage, fuel, contracts, POS, and billing. The operating system for the marina, not just the booking tool.
The one piece that's stayed outside it, for most marinas, is service management. That changes now. Dockwa Service is now in Early Access.
When everything else runs on Dockwa, having service live in a separate system — or on paper — creates a gap you have to bridge manually, every time. A customer calls about a repair. You pull up their reservation in Dockwa, then find the work order somewhere else, then send an invoice from a third place. The customer and vessel are already in your account. The work just isn't.
Dockwa Service closes that gap. Work orders, job tracking, billing, and payment collection now live inside the same platform you're already running. Not a new tool to learn — an extension of the one you already use.
The workflow is straightforward: create a work order tied to a customer and vessel already in your account, scope the job, track it as work progresses, invoice when it's done, and collect payment — including online. Everything stays connected. No duplicate entry, no reconciling across systems at the end of the month.
The focus of this first release is getting the core loop right: job in, work done, invoice out, payment collected. It's built for the marina that wants service running inside Dockwa now, not the one that needs a fully built-out enterprise service platform on day one.
Dockwa Service is open now for early access. It's the right fit for marinas handling seasonal work, haul-outs, and customer repairs — service departments that are ready to consolidate into one system and don't need a highly complex workflow to do it.
If that's your marina, early access is the place to start. You get the feature now, and you get direct input into how it develops from here.
If you're running a larger service operation with more complex requirements, we'd still encourage you to reach out. There's significantly more on the roadmap, and the marinas who engage early have the most influence over what gets built next.
This is the beginning of Service, not the finished product. We're building it out, and the direction it takes will reflect what early access marinas actually need. If you're ready to bring your service department into Dockwa, now is the time to get involved.
