Get more from Dockwa – one update at a time
October starts tomorrow (‼️), and two updates operators have been asking for are going live. The team has been heads down all month getting them ready. This month’s edition of Dispatch covers what’s going live, what to have ready as the season winds down, and a note from our CEO Mike on where Dockwa is headed. Let's get into it.
The revenue in your launch notes
In the last 180 days, 37% of all launch notes on Dockwa asked for fuel, ice, or a wash-down — about 6,100 requests that staff had to catch and fill by hand. Starting October 1, boaters can select add-ons right on the scheduling form. The request arrives on the dockhand’s launch card as line items, not buried in a note. One button builds the POS cart.

What your marina's numbers should be able to tell you
Your ownership group will eventually ask three questions about your ship store: What is my inventory worth? What did the goods I sold actually cost me? And what are my margins? The Cost of Goods Sold report — a renamed and improved version of the Inventory History report — goes live October 1. More on the parallel with Rent Roll and what this means for your month-end.
Prep for next season starts now
Contracts, storage agreements, haul-out scheduling, winterization checklists — the off-season sets the table for next spring. Our season setup checklist covers what to have in place before things slow down.
