Happy Summer, Dockwa boaters! For those in cooler climates, now's the moment you've been waiting for all year. Make the most of it: soak in the sun with family and friends, plot a course for somewhere new, and make a boatload of Summer '18 memories.

East Coast


  • Boothbay Harbor: The Windjammer Days Festival is taking place from June 24-30th with a whole schedule of events! The major events include:

    • Sunday, June 24th: Blessing of The Fleet at 1:30PM; Reggae Cruise featuring Dani Tribesmen, 

    • Tuesday, June 26th: Antique Boat Parade at 3PM

    • Wednesday, June 27th: British Invasion Attack on Boothbay Harbor at noon; Lobster Eating Contest at 2PM, Fireworks over the Harbor at 9:15PM

    • Saturday, June 30th: Tug of War Across The Harbor at 2:30PM and the Lighted Boat Parade at 9PM

  • Jonesport: Moosabec Summer Fest 2018 is taking place on June 22-July 1st with the biggest day of the festival taking place on June 30th. Some of the highlighted events include the world's fastest lobster boat races, the grade parade, fireworks, a golf tournament, an ice cream social, a lobster feed, and a steel drum band performance


  • Stowe: B3 Fest: Bikes, Brews & Beats 2018 is taking place on June 29-30th. The three day festival encompasses all of Stowe and all group rides are free to the public. Enjoy Vermont music; craft beers, wines, spirits, root beer; and a celebration of Vermont mountain biking

New Hampshire: 

  • Dover: The Kick-off to Summer Grown-up Play Date is taking place on June 21st, 2018 at 7PM. Indulge in snow cones, decorate your own neon sun visor, make a sandcastle sculpture to bring home or play games!

  • Fall River: Star Wars Themed Day at Battleship Cove is happening on June 30th from 10-4PM. Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for kids under 12

  • Boston: 

    • Boston Harbor Island Kayak Tour with REI on June 23rd from 8-5:30PM. Spend the day paddling the Boston Harbor and enjoy a picnic on one of the beautiful harbor islands 

    • Boston's Harborfest 2018 is a week of celebration in Boston leading up to the 4th of July. The events take place from June 28th through July 5th

  • Salisbury: Bands on the Beach is taking place at Salisbury Beach Stage located on Salisbury Beach. June 23rd catch Flying Horses Country Beach Jam Featuring the Ultimate Aldean Experience starting at 3PM and on June 30th come see The Eagles Experience: The Premier Eagles Tribute Show at 7:30PM

  • Cambridge: Celebrate the longest day of the year and mark the beginning of the summer season at the Harvard Museums of Science and Culture at the Summer Solstice Celebration 2018. This is happening from 5-9PM and the event is free admission 

Rhode Island: 

  • Newport: The Newport Flower Show is taking place from June 22nd to the 24th at the Newport Mansions. Special guests include Martha Stewart and Sachi Rose Pollard. Purchase Tickets for the event here

  • Portsmouth: As part of the Newport Polo Series, on Saturday, June 23rd starting at 5PM Boston returns to Newport for a Polo match against the US at the polo grounds located at The Glenn. Tickets are $15 for General Admission and $25 for Pavilion Seating. Check out the nptpolo website for more information about the match! 

  • Watch Hill: The Ocean House is officially celebrating the start of Summer with a fun and inventive Croquet & KEEL Cocktails and canapes event on Sunday, June 24th from 6-8PM. Tickets are $25 each and can be purchased at the Ocean House Event Page

  • Block Island: 

    • Marsh Mucking with the Nature Conservancy takes place on Monday mornings starting at 9AM from June 25th through August 27th. A Nature Conservancy staffer meets the group on the beach and takes you on a scavenger hunt through the salt marsh

    • Block Island Race Week 2018 is happening on June 17th through June 22nd. The event encompasses five days of racing on Block Island Sound, including one design racing for all classes that can participate; fleet racing; video debriefing and coaching each day, etc. 

  • Providence: WaterFire 2018 takes place Saturday nights from May 24th through November 10th. WaterFire centers around a series of nearly 100 bonfires that blaze just above the surface of the three rivers that pass through the middle of downtown Providence. The next WaterFire is taking place on June 30th with a Full Lighting starting at 8:45PM

  • New London: Bacon-themed Food Truck Festival, June 30 6-9PM. Choose your favorite food truck, grab an order, and enjoy live music at City Pier stage with Andre, Eddie and Friends or a DJ at the Custom House pier. Free activities for the kids including face painting and balloon animals!   • Mystic:

    • The Mystic River Jam Festival 2018 is happening on from June 21st until the 23rd at Mystic Shipyard. The music festival at Mystic showcases music from rock to reggae, blues to country. Thursday from 6:30-8:30PM, Friday from 6-10PM and Saturday from 3-10PM

    • The WoodenBoat Show at Mystic Seaport Museum is taking place on June 22-24th from 9-5PM! It is the largest gathering of wooden boats on the East Coast

  • East Hartford: The Great River Park is hosting the Riverfront Summer Pops 2018 from 7-9PM. Summer pops concerts are performed by the Middletown Symphonic Band and are free to attend! 

  • NEW Gloucester: St. Peter's Fiesta 2018 is taking place at St.Peter's Square in Gloucester from June 27th through July 1st. One of the events is the greasy pole competition, taking place on June 29th at 4:45PM at Pavilion Beach. This competition is where fishermen celebrate a successful year at sea by charging a greased up pole to capture an Italian flag. Click here to find out more about it! 

New York: 

  • Syracuse: St. Joseph's Health Amphitheater at Lakeview hosts concerts throughout the summer. Here are a the concerts taking place during June: 

    • Ticket To Classic Rock on June 19th at 10AM

    • Foreigner- Juke Box Heroes Tour on June 19th at 7PM 

    • Zac Brown Band: Down the Rabbit Hole on June 23 at 7PM

    • Styx/Joan Jett & The Blackhearts with special guests Tesla on June 28th at 7PM 

    • Brad Paisley Tour on June 30th starting at 7:30PM

  • New York City, New York: 

    • June 21st: Solstice in Times Square- Annual Mind Over Madness Yoga presented by Aerie with free classes in Times Square from sunrise to sunset 

    • June 15th- 24th: The River to River Festival is an art project that focuses on the landscape of lower Manhattan for 11 days. The event features over 90 NYC artists and projects inspired by the area and taking the form of exhibitions, performances, talks, installations, walks, and music 

    • The Worlds Biggest Ocean Adventure has arrived in NYC. Round the World Yacht Race 2017-2018 competitors have arrived in NYC waters at Tribeca's North Cove Marina after 10 months of intense racing around the globe. The crew leaves on June 25th for their final leg back to Liverpool

  • Asbury Park: Makin Waves Summer Concert Series at AP Brewery on June 23rd at 6PM. This series will be "The Best of Makin Waves" with the artists: Cook Thugless, The Brixton Riot, Mr. Payday, The Successful Failures and Disposable

  • Camden: Battleship Beer Fest 2018 is happening on June 23rd from 1-5PM. It is the only all New Jersey beer festival on a Battleship 

  • Brown Mills: 35th Annual Blueberry Festival from June 23rd through 24th from 10-4PM. Kickoff the Blueberry Harvest Season in the Birthplace of the Blueberry! 

  • Tuckerton: The 26th Annual Baymen's Seafood & Music Festival is on June 23rd-24th from 11-5PM. Experience Jersey's Freshest Seasfood at Tuckerton Seaport


  • Philadelphia: Wawa Welcome America! celebrates the nation's birthday for the 26th year in a row with a multi-day party of free events from June 28th to July 4th


  • Annapolis: 

    • Beer Tasting Sailing Cruise Schooner Woodwind with Heavy Seas Brewery from June 12 through 26th. Sample beer from Heavy Seas Brewery while enjoying the beautiful sunset under full sail

    • Wednesday Night Sailboat Races through August 29th from 6-8PM. Watch over 150 crews compete in midweek races that involve sailing around several marks in the Bay before heading back to Spa Creek for a finish in front of the Annapolis Yacht Club 

  • Baltimore: Sagamore Spirit Tour & Sunset Ride from June 6th through July 25th from 6-7:30PM

North Carolina: 

  • Beech Mountain:

    • Family Fun Month is happening during the month of June! There are 30 days of activities which encourage families to get outdoors, try something new, unplug from daily stresses and reconnect with each other

    • 47th Annual Roasting of the Hog & Fireworks is taking place on June 30th. Activities include: music, face painting, dancing, raffles, games, port and turkey roasting slowly on hickory coals, and fireworks! 

  • Brevard: The Brevard Music Summer 2018 Festival is from June 21- August 18th hosting 80 remarkable concerts-ranging from symphony, opera and pops to rock, jazz and bluegrass

  • New Bern: The Great Trent River Raft Race is being held at Union Point Park on June 23rd from roughly 11-7PM. The event includes a kayak and canoe race, a SUP race and a paddle raft race! 

South Carolina: 


  • Cordele: Cordele Watermelon Days Festival is happening from June 1 through the 30th. Take part in eating watermelon by the slice, a seed-spitting contest, throw horseshoes, or a fishing rodeo

Florida & The Keys

  • Saint Augustine, Florida: Every Sunday until October, The Conch House hosts Reggae Sunday from 3-7PM. Voted "best outdoor party in North Florida" it is an event you wont want to pass up! Click here to see the 2018 Live Music schedule

  • Orlando: From June 22-23th the Celebrity Mascot Games take place at the Amway Center. Watch more than 30 mascots from the NFL, NHL, NBA, NCAA and MLB compete in gladiator-themed games to determine who are the champions of the mascot world 

  • Sarasota: The Sarasota Powerboat Grand Prix Festival takes place on June 30th through July 1st with more than 30 boats from around the country racing in the waters off Lido Key 

  • Jupiter: Jupiter lighthouse Moonrise Tour is taking place on June 27-28th. Take in the spectacular view of a full moon from the top of the tower. The tour lasts approximately 75 minutes

  • North Miami: A Full Moon Kayak Tour is taking place on June 28th through 30th. Paddle under the full moon with the BG Oleta River Outdoor Center. After roast s'mores, go for a swim and enjoy nature! 

  • Destin: Rock the Docks Live Concert every Saturday throughout the summer. This free concert at the Destin Harbor takes place from 7-9PM 

  • Pensacola: The 47th Annual Pensacola Big Game Fishing Club hosts one of the country's largest billfish tournaments, from June 27th till July 1st

Gulf Coast


  • Clanton: Chilton Country Peach Festival takes place from June 23rd to June 30th. Pageants and tournaments are held throughout the week, along with the Peach Run, art exhibitions, a cook-off, fishing tournament, live music, parades, barbecues and so much more



  • Lake Charles: Gulf Coast Shrimp & Jazz Festival takes place on June 23rd showcasing jazz music and good food

  • Old City: On June 30th, the 27th Annual Hooked on Fishing is taking place at Earl G. Williamson Park from 7:30AM-12PM. This is an annual event that introduces kids to the basics of fishing and boating along with water safety


  • Alpine: 

    • Fiesta del Sol: Downtown Alpine celebrates the summer solstice with an outdoor festival of live music, art and more on June 23rd happening on Historic Murphy Street

    • Alpine's Fourth of July Celebration is taking place on June 29th through July 4th. Enjoy Alpine Cowboys baseball, outdoor theater, a car show, annual parade, live music, and a block party

  • Fredericksburg: The 5th Annual Hill County Food Truck Festival is taking place on June 23rd, 2018 from 11-9:30PM. There will be tons of food trucks and dessert trucks, live music all day, and wineries! 

  • San Antonio: The Bud Light Stars, Stripes, & Lights will be held from June 29th through July 4th. Two-thousand patriotic luminarias will glow on display in star-spangled themed bags along the banks of the downtown River Walk

  • Santa Barbara: Summer Solstice Celebration from June 22-June 24 at Alameda Park

  • Los Angeles:  LA Beer Week is taking place at Los Angeles Center Studios from June 16th through the 24th. LA Beer Week showcases brews from Los Angeles and beyond

  • Long Beach: The 32nd Long Beach Bayou Festival is taking place on June 23-24th at Queen Mary Event Park in the "city by the sea." 

  • Leona Valley: Cherry Picking Season is May through mid-July and Leona Valley is one of the best places to take the entire family for a relaxing and inexpensive day of cherry picking! 


  • Lincoln City: Summer Kite Festival is happening on June 23-24th. A kaleidoscope of crazy kites fills the Lincoln City skies at this ultimate beach weekend, complete with a workshop for kids to make their own kites!

  • Tigard: Festival of Balloons takes place June 22nd-24th. The hot air balloons are the featured attraction of the festival but there is also craft and vendor booths, great food from local food vendors, and carnival rides and games


  • Friday Harbor: Pirate and Wooden Ships Festival takes place June 22-24, hosted annually by The Port of Friday Harbor featuring music, vessel tours, local sails & more! 

  • Friday Harbor: Music in the Park on June 30 & weekly throughout the summer every Saturday from 3PM to 5PM. Bring a picnic, relax and listen to local and regional music as you gaze out at the harbor, watching ferries, boats and seaplanes come and go.

  • Port Orchard: Fathoms o Fun Festival & Grand Parade takes place on June 30th at 6PM in downtown Port Orchard. There is also a goldfish race at noon! 

  • Long Beach: Waikiki Beach Concert Series takes place on June 28th beginning at 2PM 

  • Westport:

    • Westport Charterboat Association Fishing Derby takes place daily until September 30th. Compete for daily and weekly cash prizes in the Sportfishing Capital of the World

    • The 17th Annual Rusty Scuppper's Pirate Daze is taking place on June 22-24th. Rival pirates invade Westport for a weekend of fun, food and frivolity

  • Collierville: Summer Concert Series at Collierville Historic Town Square is every Thursday night in June and July from 7-9PM with live music, food and fun

  • Corryton: Daylily Bloom Festival in Nine Lakes Wine Country is happening on June 22 & 23rd. Walk among the display beds, take pictures of your favorites & relax in the shade to the music of local artists! 


  • Henderson: W.C. Handy Blues & Barbecue Festival is one of the largest free music festivals in the nation. The weeklong festival is a celebration of the life and legacy of Henderson resident and "Father of the Blues" William Christopher Handy 

West Virginia: 


  • Ellison Bay: Uncork Summer Food, Wine & Music Festival is taking place at Wickman House Restaurant to kickoff summer with great food, wine, beer, cider, music and lots of fun! This event is taking place on June 23rd from 11-4PM

  • Sister Bay Beach: Paddlefest 2018 is taking place on June 23, 2018. Try the newest kayaks and paddle boards from the industry's top brads! 

  • Manitowish Waters: Float Your Boat Trivia Rally on June 23rd from 12-4PM. Join the Discovery Center for a fun filled day on the Manitowish Chain of Lakes for a scavenger hunt


  • Reno: The Reno Rodeo is a Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association sanctioned sporting event happening in Reno on June 14th till the 23rd. Competition includes bareback, team roping, saddle bronc, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, women's barrel racing and bull riding

  • Henderson: Last Friday Just Add Water Street is a foodie, community, arts, music and crafts celebration the last Friday of each month in historic downtown Henderson


  • Pleasant Grove: Pleasant Grove Strawberry Days is taking place from June 16th through 24th. Enjoy strawberries, live music, sports tournaments and rodeos among a list of other activities! 


  • Cottonwood: Classic Water to Wine combines a float trip down the Verde River with wine tasting at the Alcantara Vineyards. Tours at 10AM & 1PM everyday


  • Gunnison: The Gunnison River Festival is taking place on June 22-24th. This annual get-together begins with the Summer Solstice Party and live music, followed by organized and free-form river races for kayaks, rafters and SUPers

  • Denver: The South Platte River Fest is happening June 24-25th. The 5th edition of Denver's premier urban river fest returns to Confulence Park and Little Raven Street in downtown for SUP and kayak races, raft tours on the river, slack-lining, rock walls, etc. 


  • Tulsa: SummerStage Tulsa performance festival at Tulsa Performing Arts Center takes place throughout the month of June

South Dakota:  


  • Cleveland: The 38th Annual Cleveland Race Week is happening from June 15 through 24, 2018 at Edgewater Yacht Club. CRW is the largest sailing regatta on Lake Erie and has become one of the largest in the country

  • Akron: 43rd Annual Portage Lakes Antique and Classic Boat Show at Portage Lakes is on June 23rd

  • Put-In-Bay: Annual Pyrate Fest is being held from June 22-June 25th with fun for the whole family with costume contests, cardboard boat races, Faire Winds Circus, etc! 


  • Fort Benton: Fort Benton Annual Summer Celebration from June 22-June 24th. Scheduled activities include a parade, arts and crafts on the Levee, historical tours, free entertainment, street dance, fishing derby and a fireworks display


  • Ottumwa: Third Thursday Block Party on June 21st from 5-8PM enjoy shops, restaurants, and activities on the 200 block of E. Main street

The Great Lakes


  • Chicago:

    • Eyes to the Skies Festival at Lisle Community Park takes place from June 28-July 1st. Watch balloons launch daily, filling the sky with colorful inflatables of all shapes and sizes 

    • The Great Blue Benefit is taking place on June 21st from 6-9PM. This will be the lakeside event of the season at Columbia Yacht Club in Chicago all to benefit the Great Lakes. Enjoy drinks, hors d'oeuvres and live music 


  • IndianapolisThe Marion County Fair is taking place on June 15th through 24th with rides, foods and games for all ages.

  • Birdseye: Wildlife Cruises on Patoka Lake happen every Wednesday at 10AM for about 2 hours. Cruise the second largest lake in Indiana upon a climate controlled tour boat! 


  • Ann Arbor: The Ann Arbor Summer Festival takes place from June 8th through July 1, 2018. Established in 1984, the annual Ann Arbor Summer Festival is a celebration of outdoor entertainment, performing arts and community spirit. The event features over 140 scheduled events

  • Algonac: The 33rd Annual Algonac Antique & Classic Boat Show at the Algonac Harbour Club is from June 22-24, 2018. Boaters can enjoy on water events on Friday and Sunday with the public boat show on Saturday

  • Detroit: GM River Days returns to Detroit from June 22-24, 2018. This is a one of a kind festival that takes place along the Detroit Riverfront with activities on land & water

  • Port Austin: Port Austin Sea Kayak Symposium is happening from June 22-24th at Bird Creek Park. The Symposium focuses on paddlers with day touring and touring kayaks!
