Torras Properties Announces St. Marys Marina, Expanding Coastal Georgia Marina Operations

Brunswick Landing Marina has long been a boater favorite, and for all the right reasons. The community, facilities, and amenities are all top tier, but what really keeps people coming back is the crew. Michael Torras and the Torras Properties team have built a place where boaters feel known, where the details get taken care of, and where a quick stopover can easily turn into a season highlight. Now they’re bringing that same spirit down the Georgia coast with the opening of St. Marys Marina, a brand new stop on the historic St. Marys waterfront. With Dockmaster Colin Redy on the docks getting to know every guest and their boat, it’s shaping up to be a place worth slowing down for. Read the press release below to meet the team and learn more, then book your visit on Dockwa to see it for yourself!
Torras Properties Announces St. Marys Marina, Expanding Coastal Georgia Marina Operations
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ST. MARYS, Ga. — Torras Properties announces the launch of St. Marys Marina, a new marina operating venture on the downtown St. Marys waterfront. The marina anticipates opening by November 1, 2026.
St. Marys Marina will be operated by the team behind Brunswick Landing Marina, extending the group’s marina operations along the Georgia coast and serving both visiting and long-term boaters.
“This is an opportunity to grow in a business we know well and care deeply about,” said Michael Torras, who manages the marina operations for Torras Properties. “We have learned a great deal through Brunswick Landing Marina about what makes people want to return: dependable service, well-maintained facilities and a genuine sense of community. We are excited to put that experience to work in St. Marys.”
The marina features new concrete floating docks, 30- and 50-amp shore power as well as 100-amp three-phase service, Wi-Fi and an installed pump-out system. Its Yacht Club, directly across the street, provides a lounge, restrooms, showers and a waterfront balcony, with complimentary laundry facilities being added.
St. Marys Marina will offer daily, weekly, monthly, semi-annual and annual dockage. The downtown location puts guests near local dining, shopping, waterfront parks and the Cumberland Island ferry.
“Our approach has always been pretty simple: provide a great facility, take care of the details and give people a level of service that makes them want to come back,” said Daren Pietsch, President of Torras Properties. “We’ve seen how well that philosophy works in Brunswick, and we’re excited to bring that same operating approach to St. Marys while creating something that fits the character of this waterfront and this community.”
“We want St. Marys Marina to be the kind of place where boaters feel comfortable whether they are stopping for a few days or making us their home marina,” said Colin Redy, Dockmaster of St. Marys Marina. “My focus will be on the day-to-day details—knowing our customers, taking care of their boats and making sure the experience on the docks matches the quality of the facility.”
The marina is currently collecting dockage inquiries. Boaters can visit stmarysmarina.com for information and opening updates.
