Happy July, boaters! If you need any more of a reason to get out on the water in July, check out our ever-growing list of harborside events, including concerts, parties, boat shows, sporting events, wine tastings, regattas, hikes, and more.
Jonesport:Moosabec Summer Fest 2018is taking place on June 22 through July 1st with the biggest day of the festival taking place on June 30th. Some of the highlighted events include: the world's fastest lobster boat races, the grand parade, fireworks, a golf tournament, an ice cream social, a lobster feed, and a steel drum band performance.
Rockland:North Atlantic Blues Festival from July 14-15th. This is one of the East Coast's most prestigious events held at the Rockland Public Landing overlooking Penobscot Bay.
Islesboro: The 42nd Anniversary of the Great Schooner Race is taking place on July 6th. Maine's tall ship fleet gathers for an exciting race from Islesboro to Rockland, followed by a festive awards ceremony and party.
Burlington: The Burlington Independence Day Celebration, Fireworks at the Waterfront, is the largest fireworks display in Vermont! Activities begin around 5:30PM with fireworks starting around 9:30PM on July 3rd.
Stowe: The 30th Annual Stoweflake Hot-Air Balloon Festival is taking place on July 8-10th. More than 25 hot-air balloons will fill the sky while festival goers can enjoy food, wine and craft beverages, children activities, a spa tent and live music.
Portsmouth:Sail Portsmouth 2018 with Parade of Sail and Tall Ships is a four day event taking place July 25-29th!
Sunday Champagne Brunch Cruise on the M/S Mount Washington is a brunch with Jazz entertainment while you cruse Lake Winnipesaukee. This event is taking place on July 1st from 10AM - 12:30PM.
Holderness:Yoga on The Deck at Water Matters Pavilion happens every Tuesday morning at 7:30AM in July. The yoga is led by local certified instructors and the gentle flow yoga is appropriate for people of all yoga levels.
Meredith: The 28th Annual Rubber Duckie Race is happening on July 4th at 4PM. Over 4,000 rubber ducks tumble down Mill Falls and finish in Meredith Bay.
Pittsburg: The Summer Lobster Feed is taking place on July 7th at 6PM. Enjoy lobster, steak, steamers and so much more!
Sanbornton: The 4th Annual A Brew with a View is happening on July 7th at 4PM. Sample a selection of over 30 craft breweries and enjoy spectacular views overlooking the lake.
Boston's Harborfest 2018is a week long celebration in Boston leading up to the 4th of July. The events take place from June 28th through July 5th. Some of the major events include:
July 1st- Chowderfest.
July 4th- Boston Pops Concert starts at 8PM with the Fireworks starting at 10:30PM.
Summer in The City Series 2018 at Boston Harbor Hotel is back with free live music and outdoor movies in the courtyard. Free events include live music Tuesday through Thursday from 6-10PM. Here is the July list of movies by moonlight dates:
The Charles River Open Team Race is returning in 2018 over the weekend of July 14-15th. An initial group of 16 teams will be accepted with racing taking place in MIT's fleets of Turbo FJs and Collegiate Fireflies.
Zumba on the Esplanade is a recurring event which happens every Tuesday night from 6-7PM. The next Zumba is taking place on July 17th!
Boston Bruins Foundation Harbor Cruise on Wednesday, July 18th. Enjoy an evening of music and entertainment with Bruins alumni and special guests, along with a silent auction and a variety of raffle items all while helping the 2018 Boston Bruins Foundation Pan-Massachusetts Challenge Bike Team.
The 2018 Run to Home Base 9K/5K Presented by New Balance is one of Boston's most beloved races. Happening on July 28th from 8-11AM. The annual Run to Home Base is a run or walk through scenic Boston ending with a once-in-a-lifetime experience of finishing the race by crossing Fenway's famed home plate.
July 25: Boston Harbor Now. Boston Harbor Now now holds monthly Harbor Use Public Forums in order for interested stakeholders to learn about and provide feedback to waterfront developers and public agency planners on projects that are affecting Boston Harbor, and its waterfront & islands.
NEW Scituate: On July 3rd the residents of Humarock come together to form the Humaflock, a fun float down the South River on inflatable swans! The push off is at 4:30PM with the event lasting until about 6PM.
NEW Hull: AquaPalooza 2018 is being held on July 14th from 12-6PM. AquaPalooza is a on-water boating concert in Perry Cove off of Paddock's Island in Boston Harbor (thanks to Bill Scanlon for posting this great event in our Facebook group!)
Dorchester:RiverFest at DCR Neponset II Park in Dorchester is happening on July 14th from 10-2PM. Celebrate the Neponset River and the beautiful parks and pedestrian paths along the shore.
Salisbury:Beachfront concerts + Fireworks at Salisbury Beach is happening all throughout summer! Here are a few of the concerts and fireworks scheduled for July:
July 4th- 4th of July Celebration with Joppa Flats at 4PM
July 7th- Joshua Tree Band: Premier U2 Music Tribute starting at 7:30PM with fireworks at 10:30PM
July 14th- James Montgomery Band at 7:30PM with fireworks beginning at 10:30PM
NEW Gloucester:St. Peter's Fiesta 2018 is taking place at St. Peter's Square in Gloucester from June 27th through July 1st. One of the events is the greasy pole competition, happening on June 29th around 4:45PM at Pavilion Beach. This competition is where fishermen celebrate a successful year at sea by charging a greased up pole to capture an Italian flag. Click here to find out more about it!
NEW New Bedford: The Summer Sound Series is live music all summer long in New Bedford's Seaport Cultural District. Every Friday from 6-8PM until August 10th. Here is a list of the July concerts:

July is Music Month at Ballard Park! The series includes three free concerts by a diverse group of bands. The concerts will be held in Ballard Park's quarry meadow off of Hazard Road. Here is the July schedule:

Sweet Berry Farm Summer Concert and Dinner Series is taking place every Tuesday night featuring a dinner menu and live music. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket.
Fireside Wednesdays Music Series is presented by Newport Vineyards alongside extended tasting room hours throughout the summer. Enjoy live music near the firepits from 5-8PM while overlooking the vines.
AquaPalooza 2018 at Potters Cove in Prudence Island is happening on July 28th from 12-4PM. Raft up in Potter's Cove with existing friends, swim in a designated swim area around the band boat or lounge in a float and watch the band.
As part of the 27th season of the Newport International Polo Series, every Saturday through September, you can find a match going on! Polo starts at 5PM and tickets are $12 for general admission. Check out the nptpolo website for more information about the match.
Marsh Mucking with the Nature Conservancytakes place on Monday mornings starting at 9AM from June 25th through August 27th. A Nature Conservancy staffer meets the group on the beach and takes you on a scavenger hunt through the salt marsh.
Providence:WaterFire 2018takes place Saturday nights from May 24th through November 10th. WaterFire centers around a series of nearly 100 bonfires that blaze just above the surface of the three rivers that pass through the middle of downtown Providence. The WaterFire dates for July are: July 14th with a Full Lighting starting at 8:20PM and July 28th with a Full Lighting starting around 8:08PM.
The 233rd Bristol 4th of July Parade is taking place at 10:30AM on July 4th off of Hope Street.
Citizens Bank Free Family Fun Day happens every month on the 1st. The Environmental Education Center is open free to the public the first Saturday for hikes, crafts, nature stories and more.
Jamestown: Evening Music Concert Series happening in East Ferry Memorial Square every Sunday at 6:30PM starting on July 8th! Here is a list of the Summer Concert Series 2018.

The Mystic Seaport Museum Annual Antique & Classic Boat Rendezvous on the waterfront will be taking place from July 28-29! The weekend culminates with a parade down the Mystic River on Sunday afternoon (thanks for the event tip from our friend Dan at the Mystic Seaport Museum!)
East Hartford:The Great River Park is hosting theRiverfront Summer Pops 2018from 7-9PM. Summer pops concerts are performed by the Middletown Symphonic Band and are free to attend.
Sheffield Island Lighthouse Clambake takes place every Thursday night throughout the summer. It is a round trip boat ride to Sheffield Island with panoramic views of the Long Island Sound. The evening allows for participants to dine in the festive pavilion on the lighthouse lawn, with tours of the lighthouse itself included in the cost.
Norwalk Islands Sunset Cruise happens every Friday from 6-8PM. Guests board the Seaport Association's 45-foot C.J. Toth catamaran for a relaxing two hour cruise through Norwalk Harbor and Long Island Sound.

Greenport:Bug Light Wednesday Cruise & Tour takes place every Wednesday from 10-12PM. It is a round-trip cruise from the Railroad Dock to Long Beach Bar "Bug" Light in Orient.
Amityville: Sunset Kayak Tours every Wednesday from 6-8PM at the Dinghy Shop on the Great South Bay.
Fire Island: 17th Annual Benefit Art Show is taking place until July 16th in the Keepers Quarters at the Lighthouse.

Summer on the Hudson is a Parks Department festival that takes place up and down Riverside Park throughout the summer. The celebration includes concerts, dance performances, wellness activities, movies and kids' shows.

City of Water Day is a free family festival on Saturday, July 14th from 10-4PM. It is an annual festival organized by the Waterfront Alliance to get people to, on and in New York Harbor and its surrounding waterways. The main festival will take place in the Seaport District, Pier 17, Lower Manhattan.
NEW Clayton: The Clayton Town Fireworks are being held on July 3rd around dusk. They will be set off to music in front of Calumet Island and viewable from Riverside Drive. Need to reserve somewhere close by after the fireworks? Be sure to check out Clayton Harbor Municipal Marina!
Asbury Park:Makin Waves Summer Concert Seriesat AP Brewery on June 23rd at 6PM. This series will be "The Best of Makin Waves" with the artists: Cook Thugless, The Brixton Riot, Mr. Payday, The Successful Failures and Disposable.
Toms River: 41st Wooden Boat Festival at Huddy Park on July 21st. The Wooden Festival is a one-day event featuring many old boats from 10-50 feet.
Long Branch: The 28th Annual Oceanfest is taking place on July 4th from 10-10PM with fireworks beginning at 9PM. From morning till night Long Branch will host live entertainment, music, delicious festival foods, craft vendors and summer activities.
Rockaway: White Meadow Lake Festival Days is happening on July 13 through 15th from 12-4PM. Throughout the weekend there will be a parade and float contest, food and refreshments, contests, races, carnival rides, fireworks, volleyball and sand castle contests and a live DJ.
NEW Ocean City:Leukemia Cup Regatta of New Jersey is taking place from July 13-15th at Ocean City Yacht Club. All boats will be arriving, registering, and joining for dinner at the Yacht Club on Friday night complete with live music. Racing will take place in Ocean City and Stone Harbor on Saturday. There will be a Saturday night BBQ dinner with live music, dancing, drinks and a silent auction to benefit LLS.
NEW Brigantine:The Brigantine Junior Leukemia Cup Regatta is happening on July 12th. The Leukemia Cup event is a place where junior sailors, boaters & friends will combined a passion for being on the water with a commitment to help cancer patients, raising money to help cure blood cancers.
Philadelphia: Wawa Welcome America!celebrates the nation's birthday for the 26th year in a row with a multi-day party of free events from June 28th to July 4th.
Tionesta: Rivers Edge Art Fest is a festival of amazing art crafted by local artisans on July 1 from 11-5PM at President Village Park.
Punxsutawney:Punxsutawney Groundhog Festival at Barclay Square from July 1-7th. A week long festival which includes many food options, children rides & game, free live shows at night, and craft vendors.
NEW Seaford: The 24th Annual Nanticoke Riverfest is taking place on July 14th startingat 8:30AM and lasting until about 9PM. It's "Tiki time on the Nanticoke," with headliners The Funsters. There will be local vendors, food, crafts, a kids area, and the annual float-in down the Nanticoke River.
Wednesday NightSailboat Racesthrough August 29th from 6-8PM. Watch over 150 crews compete in midweek races that involve sailing around several marks in the Bay before heading back to Spa Creek for a finish in front of the Annapolis Yacht Club.
Annapolis Tides & Tunes is every Thursday night this summer until August 16th. Concerts start at 7PM at the Annapolis Maritime Museum's waterfront McNasby campus. Concerts are free! Here is a list of the July concerts:

Race to Baltimore is a race from the mouth of the Magothy River up the Patapsco to Tide Point, where a post-race party awaits in Baltimore Harbor. The race begins at 11AM.
NEW Grasonville:Paddlepalooza is taking place on July 14th at the Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center. Experience the wetlands during the unique opportunity to circumnavigate the "Horsehead Peninsula".
Sharkfest! is happening from 10-5PM on July 14th at Calvert Marine Museum. Explore the history and diversity of the ultimate apex predator.
Screwpile Lighthouse Challenge is happening from July 21-23rd. Sailors from around the Bay will flock to Solomons, for round-the-buoys action and festive parties.
NEW Chester: The Cocktail Class Wooden Boat Racing Association presents a fun-filled day of family racing at the 2018 Kent Island Regatta. Racers will navigate the course in 8' wooden boats which were hand-built. The Regatta is taking place on July 21st.
Elkton:Fireball Dash & Splash is taking place on July 7 from 9-1PM. The race starts off with a 1-mile DASH from 4th street to Riverside Park where you pick up your tube and float 1-mile down the Shenandoah River to the finish line at the Town of Elkton Boat Launch.
Clarksville: The Virginia Lake Festival is taking place on July 19 through 21st in downtown Clarksvill. There will be hot air balloon rides, sand sculptors, food vendors, helicopter rides, etc.
NEW Deltaville: The Southern Chesapeake Leukemia Cup Regatta is happening on July 13-15th. The race is to help support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) mission to find cures and ensure access to treatment for all blood cancer patients.
NEW Virginia Beach: Monarch Cobia Classic is taking place from July 19th-21st. The Old Dominion University Alumni Association will host its second annual Monarch Cobia Classic in partnership with the Peninsula Salt Water Sport Fisherman's Association. The Classic is taking place at The Marina at Marina Shores in Virginia Beach.
NEW Chincoteague Island: The 93rd Annual Chincoteague Pony Swim & Auction is taking place on Wednesday, July 25th from 7-1PM at the Chincoteague Fairgrounds. This event is when ponies cross the Assateague Channel.
NEW Portsmouth:Tidewater Yacht Marina is hosting National Marina Days: Summer of Giving Event on July 7th from 1-6PM at the Tidewater Yacht Marina Pool Deck! There will be live music, a silent auction, raffle, children's pool games, food, beverages & more! This event is helping provide donations to The Folds of Honor Foundation which gives back to the spouses and children of soldiers killed or disabled in service to our country. (thanks to Kristen Galloway, Marine Center Manager from Tidewater Yacht Marina for sending us this event!)
Brevard:The Brevard Music Summer 2018 Festival is from June 21- August 18th hosting 80 remarkable concerts-ranging from symphony, opera and pops to rock, jazz and bluegrass.
NEW New Bern: Rockin' on the Rivers is a summer concert series happening on the New Bern waterfront. On July 20th, the featured band will be Parmalee. Gates open at 4:30PM!
Charleston:MegaDock Billfishing Tournament on July 11-14th. Participants may fish two out of three days. Each evening crew, family & friends are invited to gather on the docks to check out all of the days' catches.
Saint Augustine, Florida:Every Sunday until October, The Conch House hosts Reggae Sunday from 3-7PM. Voted "best outdoor party in North Florida" it is an event you wont want to pass up! Click here to see the2018 Live Music schedule.
Destin:Rock the Docks Live Concert every Saturday throughout the summer. This free concert at the Destin Harbor takes place from 7-9PM.
Winter Park: Watermelon 5K is happening on July 4th at Central Park downtown. There will be a watermelon eating contest at 8AM.
Cocoa Beach: Friday Fest is held on July 20th from 6-10PM. This family-oriented event has live music, food and a kid zone!
Big Pine Key: Underwater Music Festival on July 7th. A concert broadcast underwater for divers and snorkelers. It emphasizes reef preservation and tips on how people can enjoy the ocean while minimizing the impact on the reef and overall marine environment.
Lauderdale-By-The-Sea: BugFest-By-The-Sea is the biggest and most popular lobster mini-season event in Florida! It is taking place on July 24 through 28th.
NEW Miami Beach: Don't miss the World Cup Finals this weekend! Go watch France playing in the finals on the water this upcoming Sunday, July 15th at 11AM. Event is happening at Halouver Sandbar.
Wetumpka:Coosa River Whitewater Festival is taking place from July 1 through 31st! This event is for competitors and non-competitors to have a great time on Whitewater by kayaking, canoeing, sit-on-top kayaking and recreational paddlers.
Shreveport: The Red River Balloon Rally is happening on July 13th & 14th at LSU Shreveport. The Rally features a nightly balloon glow with 25 balloons!
Alpine's Fourth of July Celebration is taking place on June 29th through July 4th. Enjoy Alpine Cowboys baseball, outdoor theater, a car show, annual parade, live music, and a block party.
San Antonio:The Bud Light Stars, Stripes, & Lightswill be held from June 29th through July 4th. Two-thousand patriotic luminarias will glow on display in star-spangled themed bags along the banks of the downtown River Walk.
San Marcos:Float Fest is taking place on July 21 & 22nd. Float on the water with tons of free activities, live music and fun!
Sherman:Lights on the Lake is happening on July 3rd from 4-10PM. Join to celebrate our country's independence with the City of Sherman's annual 4th of July celebration. There will be food & drink vendors, activities for the kids, live entertainment and more.
The Hills: The 2nd Annual Lobster Boil is happening on July 13th from 5:30-9PM at The Hills Clubhouse. There will be live music and lots of lobster!
Huntington Beach:Huntington Beach U.S. Open of Surfing takes place from July 28th through August 5th. This annual surfing festival is a six-star World Qualifying Series competition in which surfers from around the globe come to Huntington Beach.
Santa Cruz:Wharf to Wharf Race is taking place on July 22nd at 8:30AM. 16,000 runners from across America and the globe return to Santa Cruz for the annual 6 mile race to Capitola-by-the-Sea. The event is the biggest summer event of its kind on the West Coast.
San Clemente:The San Clemente Ocean Festival is taking place on July 21-22 at the San Clemente Pier. There is a lifeguard pancake breakfast, ocean art show, a family beach party, and even a sand sculpting competition!
Long Beach: The Long Beach Crawfish Festival is taking place on July 27 through 29th at the Rainbow Lagoon! The Crawfish Boil will feature authentic, Louisiana-style Crawfish.
Coos Bay: The 25th Annual Maritime Art Exhibit is taking place on July 14th from 8-5PM at the Coos Art Museum. A day of painting outdoors on the Coos Bay; city docks, shipyards, boat basins, sandy beaches, etc.
Westport Charter boat Association Fishing Derby takes place daily until September 30th. Compete for daily and weekly cash prizes in the Sport-fishing Capital of the World.
On July 4th celebrate Independence Day at Riverfront Park along the banks of the Cumberland River.
Summer Splash H20liday, presented by ICEE Company is taking place on July 7th. The Nashville Zoo will transform into a waterpark and feature water slides, water games and other water attractions!
Waterfest is taking place at Cumberland Park on July 8th from 1-4PM. Waterfest is a free, one-day family festival all about celebrating and connecting children to the local waters.
Paducah:The Port of Paducah is hosting magnificent vessels at the riverfront as they cruise America's inland waterways! On July 8th The Queen of the Mississippi will be at the port. On July 22, the America will be at the port and on July 26, the American Queen will be at the port!
Grand Rivers:Green Turtle Bay Marina has lots going on for the month of July including events & live music on Friday and Saturdays. Be sure to check some out:
Cottonwood:Classic Water to Winecombines a float trip down the Verde River with wine tasting at the Alcantara Vineyards. Tours at 10AM & 1PM everyday.
Toledo: The 2018 Toledo Summer Festival is taking place from July 12-15th. There will be local logging contests, carnival, food and crafts booths, beer garden, live band, and an incredible fireworks display.
Tulsa: The Folds of Honor FreedomFest is taking place on July 4th from 5-10:30PM at River West Festival Park. Watch the best fireworks in Tulsa with live music, prize wheels and a kids zone!
Minneapolis:One Water Summit 2018 is the premier national conference focused on sustainable, integrated, and inclusive approaches to managing water.

Winnetka: The 94th annual Water Carnival will be taking place on July 14th from 10-12:30PM. The event will feature games and activities for children of all ages. There will be a sandcastle building contest along with free hot dogs in celebration of National Hot Dog Day!
Joliet:Blacklight Slide is coming to Chicago on July 7th at Chicagoland Speedway. This night event is focused on UV Neon Glowing fun with the chance to go down slides filled with Neon Glow-in-the-Dark water.
The Navy Pier in Chicago is also hosting fireworks all summer long! Some July dates include:
July 4th, 7th, 11th, 14th, 18th, 21st, 25th and the 28th.
The Chicago Police Sailing Association presents the Gold Star Regatta hosted by Jackson Park Yacht is taking place on July 7th from 10:30-6PM. It is a fundraiser race to benefit the families of Fallen Police Officers and First Responders.
The Scene Boat Party is happening on July 28th. This is where 2,000 boats tie up in the 'PlayPen' all day and raft together. Check outthis videoto see the event for yourself. It is for sure one that you will not want to miss!
Hammond:Festival of the Lakes is taking place on July 18-22, 2018. It is a five day event of fun and entertainment on Wolf Lake, Lake George and Lake Michigan. The festival includes popular musical acts, special events such as the Fishing Derby and Polka Party and more.

Cedar Lake:Cedar Lake Summerfest is taking place on July 4-8th. The festival includes cupcake contests, engineering skills contest (building a boat for the cardboard boat race), a cornhole competition, candy hunt, and fireworks.
Traverse: The National Cherry Festival is taking place from July 1-7th in Downtown Traverse City. The event includes fireworks, games, races, outdoor concerts and air shows.
