2020 went so far off course that we're still recovering, regrouping, and year-in-reviewing! If you're a new boater to Dockwa, get up to...
Help Us Grow the Dockwa Marina Network — and Get $250 Each Time You Do
Post by Team Dockwa - Published on 04/01/25 4:00 AM

Dockwa was built for boaters, by boaters. And as much as we’d love to be at every marina on the coast, the truth is... some of your favorite spots still aren’t on the platform. That’s where you come in.
Know a Marina that Should be on Dockwa?
If there’s a marina you love—but wish they used Dockwa to handle reservations, contracts, or fuel—you can help make it happen. And we’ll thank you for your time with $250 bucks.
Here's how it works:
⚓ Step 1: Spot a Marina That’s Not on Dockwa
Think of that one marina where:
• You had to call three times, leave two voicemails, and finally got someone… who asked you to fax a form.
• You emailed about availability and never heard back. Weeks later, someone replied, “Try calling us.”
• You arrived after hours and the dockmaster had handwritten your slip assignment on a whiteboard behind a locked office door.
• You waited on hold so long you memorized their muzak playlist.
• You had to explain three times what size your boat is and that yes, you do need shore power.
• You said to yourself (or yelled across the cockpit), “Ugh, why aren’t they on Dockwa?”
Whether it was a minor hassle or a full-on docking disaster, we’ve all been there. These are exactly the kinds of problems Dockwa solves, and the marinas we’re looking to bring into the Dockwa network...with your help!
💌 Step 2: Make an Intro
Got a marina in mind? All we need is a quick email introduction to someone on their team to the dockmaster, general manager, or whoever’s steering the ship.
Just shoot us a note at marketing@dockwa.com, and we’ll help you kick things off. We can even send you a plug-and-play email template to make your initial outreach easy peasy.
Once you make the intro, we’ll take it from there to schedule a meeting with their team (and keep you in the loop the whole way).
💻 Step 3: They Take a Demo, You Get Paid
If the marina agrees to a quick, no-pressure demo of the Dockwa platform, you’ll get $250 visa gift card as a thank-you. No strings attached. No need for them to sign a contract. Just need them to show up for the meeting.
Refer More, Earn More
Here’s the best part: there’s no limit to how many marinas you can refer. If you’re actively cruising or find yourself chatting with dockmasters all season long, this could turn into a pretty sweet side gig.
Let’s do the math, shall we?
Refer three marinas. They each take a quick demo.
Boom. $750 in your pocket.
And let's be honest... whether that covers a quarter of your fuel bill for one trip or your entire season of sandwiches and transient fees, it’s a solid dent in your cruising costs. And that’s a win in our book.
Plus, you'll get paid right after your referral sits down with us. No contracts, no commitments, just a full circle intro and a big thank-you from us. Not too shabby for doing what you’re already doing: cruising, connecting, and making the boating world better.
Why This Matters
The best marinas join Dockwa because boaters like you speak up. When marina operators hear directly from their customers, they’re way more likely to listen... and that's a good thing!
By helping us grow, you’re not just earning cash, you’re making the entire boating experience smoother for everyone out there on the water. If you already have a marina in mind, drop us a line at marketing@dockwa.com and we’ll help you get started. All it takes is one quick intro. We’ll take it from there, and keep you updated every step of the way.
Dockwa reserves the right to modify or discontinue the boater referral program at any time without prior notice. Referrals must result in a completed demo with a new, non-Dockwa marina to qualify for the $250 reward. Eligibility is subject to Dockwa’s verification and approval. Abuse of the program may result in disqualification from incentive.
