Fall Activities Round-Up: November 2018 Calendar of Harborside Events

November is officially here, boaters! With boating events scheduled throughout the month, it couldn't be any easier to get out and enjoy the crisp autumn wind or warm sunshine, especially those in Florida and the Islands.

Make the most of November, kick off your holiday season, or celebrate making landfall in warmer climates at these nautical eventsFind a holiday boat parade, harbor town tree lighting, or beach party near you.

East Coast: 


  • Portland – 

    • November 10: The 8th Annual Celtic Fair and State Street Stroll. Kick off your holiday fair shopping at one of Portland's largest and greatest holiday happenings. Along the street there will be an array of arts and craft items, attic treasures, vintage linens, books, children's toys, Christmas decorations and much more. 

    • November 16 & 17: Elf The Broadway Musical. This production will be put on at the Merrill Auditorium by the Portland Ovations three different times during the dates listed above. 

    • November 24: The 2nd Annual Maine's Best Bakers - Portland Edition. A full day of taste testing delicious treats from different bakers from southern Marine. 

    • November 26: Nautical Lecture Series by Tall Ships Portland at the Shipyard Brewing Company. Every month on the 4th Monday, Tall Ships Portland hosts a local nautical speaker. 

  • Rockland  – 

    • November 20: Thanksgiving Pie Workshop. Learn to make the perfect flaky crust, pastry skills and techniques, knife skills, lattice work, and leave with a show-stopping apple pie to impress all of your Thanksgiving guests!

    • November 23 - 25: Festival of Lights Celebration. This celebration will last all weened long with events going on every day including: Santa's arrival, free horse drawn wagon rides, lighting of the lobster trap Christmas tree and much more. 

    • November 30: Holiday Fair. Come to celebrate the holidays with your friends & have a fun time while doing it. 

  • Bangor – 

    • November 3 & 4: The 30th Annual Bangor Arts & Crafts Show. Maine artisans will be exhibiting and selling their unique handcrafted items. 

    • November 15 - 25: The 7th Annual Festival of Trees at Anah Shrine. Come see the beautiful trees that will be on display and try to win one! Santa will also be there to take a Christmas Photo. 

  • Waterville –

    • November 3: Fall Festival at Quarry Road Trails. A free community event to enjoy fun activities, explore the trails and learn about winter programs, volunteer opportunities, along with recent updates and future plans. 

    • November 23: Parade of Lights 2018. Come welcome the holidays with this parade, and a visit from Santa, down Main Street. 

New Hampshire: 

  • Portsmouth –

    • November 3: Farmers Market. This will be the last Portsmouth Farmers market of the season. Celebrate a great market season by purchasing prepared foods, gift items, fall produce, donuts and much more. 

    • November 8 - 17: Restaurant Week - Portsmouth & the Seacoast. Participating restaurants offer special three course prix fixe menus at the price of $16.95 for lunch or $29.95 for dinner per person. 

  • Manchester – November 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29: Family Poolside Movie Night. Eat, sip, & swim with poolside entertainment Thursday evening at Envy Sports Club & Cafe with Splash Lounge. Every Thursday night, the club invited members, guests, and the NH community to enjoy an 7:30 PM showing of a family-friendly movie in their poolside oasis. Inside the cabanas, enjoy their full drink menu and food menu. 

  • Dover – 

    • November 3: PizzaFest 2018. All you can eat pizza tasting extravaganza at The Children's Museum of New Hampshire.  

    • November 4: Yes I Can 5K. Join Dover High School Unified in this fun-filled family 5K. Run, walk, push or be pushed. 

    • November 17: First Parish Church Annual Holiday Fair. There will be top notch crafters from around the state, homemade sweets and breads, plants and the infamous Tiffany Room antiques and second hand shop. 

    • November 30: The 9th Annual Festival of Trees. There will be over 30 trees, elaborately decorated by local businesses and organizations, to be auctioned and raffled off to benefit the Greater Dover Chamber of Commerce City Lights Committee. 

  • Concord – November 17: Lake and Lagoon Tour: Discovery Edition. Set sail on Seven Seas Lagoon and Bay Lake in true retro style. 

  • Newmarket – November 24: Small Business Saturday. Kick off the holiday season with Shop Small Saturday. Support local businesses, join the festivities, and have a great time. 


  • Burlington –

    • November 2: First Friday on Church Street Marketplace. Locally owned stores have come together to create a fun night out. Each store participating will be doing their own thing; maybe a discount, a trunk show, music, or  food! 

    • November 2 - 4: The Great Gatsby. Main Street Landing Performing Arts Center is putting on their production of the Great Gatsby. 

    • November 23: Church Street Tree Lighting. Come to the Church Street Marketplace for the Annual Tree Lighting. 

  • Jay – November 22: Jay Peak Thanksgiving at Alice's Table. Bring your appetite and join in at Alice's Table for their annual Thanksgiving Buffet Dinner.

  • Boston –

    • November 7: The 28th Annual Raise the Sails Gala. This evening includes an open beer and wine bar, food, photo booth, raffles, live and silent auction, and dancing. The Gala benefits the charitable junior and universal access sailing programs.  

    • November 15: Country Uncorked featuring Kip Moore, Clare Dunn & Timmy Brown at City Winery. 

    • November 17: The 135th Yale vs. Harvard Football Game at Fenway Park.

    • November 18: Charles River Full & Half Marathon. Run five or 10 laps of fast, flat 2.6 mile loop around Boston's scenic Charles River. Entry includes a winter hat, a beautiful finisher's medal, and post-race beers.

Rhode Island: 

  • Newport –

    • November 1: The 10th Annual Wine & Beer Tasting by Bellevue Wine & Spirits held at Newport Vineyards to benefit the Newport County YMCA. 

    • November 2 - 11: Newport Restaurant Week (Fall). There are 50+ restaurants offering extraordinary two-course prix fixe lunches for $20 and three-course prix fixe dinners for $35. 

    • November 8: Field of Artisans x Salve Regina - Holiday Market. Makers will be set up in the gorgeous historic mansion, Ochre court. This event is open to students, faculty and the general public! 

    • November 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 24 & 25: Newport Seal Watch Tour with Save The Bay. Summer is not the only time to enjoy the bay. Come aboard one of the education vessels as Save the Bay motors through historic Newport Harbor and takes in the 360 degree views of seals resting on Citing Rock off of Rose Island and the Newport Bridge. 

    • November 14: Hops for Hunger. Enjoy a fresh brew at Newport Craft Brewing & Distillery Co. With each beer sold, Newport Craft with donate $1 to the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Community Center in Newport. 

    • November 17 - January 1: Christmas at the Newport Mansions! The mansions spectacular decorations highlight the celebration of the holidays in Newport. 

    • November 22: A Thanksgiving Feast at Gurney's Newport. Enjoy a thanksgiving feast from  1 - 7 PM. 

    • November 22: The 33rd Annual Pie Run hosted by the Newport County YMCA. Be ready to stuff your faces on Thanksgiving day by taking part in the 5-Mile Run or 3-Mile Walk/run on Thanksgiving morning. Entrants are asked to bring a non-perishable food item to be contributed to a local food bank! 

    • November 23: Newport's Illuminated Boat Parade at the Bowen's Wharf Block Party! There will be boats decorated with festive holiday decor and lights. The boats motor through the harbor and compete for the best decorated in various categories. Shops and restaurants will be open and boats will sail by starting around 6:15 PM.

    • November 23, 24 & 30: Holiday Lantern Tour presented by the Newport Historical Society. Hear the history of early American holiday traditions on an evening walk. Learn how Newporters did, or didn't, observe the holidays. 

    • November 24: Lighting of the Lighthouse on Goat Island. Celebrate with Gurneys as they light their historic lighthouse, complete with carolers, spiked cider, live music at the resort's Regent Cocktail Club and undisturbed views of the famed Newport Bridge.

  • Middletown –

    • November 3, 10, 17 & 24: The Saturday Farmer's Markets at Newport Vineyard. On Saturday morning from 8:30 - 12:30 PM check out the Aquidneck Growers' Market held indoors in Newport Vineyard and Winery.

    • November 3: The 1st Annual Newport Stuffie Shuffle hosted by Newport Bike Polo. Enjoy bike polo, stuffies, food, free beer, and a party! 

    • November 7, 14 & 28: Taproot + Tunes. Enjoy live music and $10 beer or wine flights each Wednesday from 5 - 8 PM. 

  • Portsmouth –

    • November 1 - 4: Escobar's Highland Farm Corn Maze. Go get lost in the 8-acre corn maze! 

    • November 3: The 11th Annual Race for Open Space. The Aquidneck Land Trust is hosting a 5K run or walk along the scenic Sakonnet Greenway Trail at The Glen. Participants are welcomed to run or walk, and strollers and leashed dogs are welcome!  

    • November 10: The 19th Annual Harvest Festival at Greenvale Vineyards. Enjoy music, tractor rides, face painting, delicious wines and small food samplings. 

  • Jamestown – 

    • November 3: Ryan J. Bourque Neon Night 5K at Fort Getty. Prizes will be awarded to the best glowing costumes. 

    • November 3: Fall Celebration at Conanicut Island Land Trust. There will be hay rides, fire pits, food, games and much more. The event is free for all! 

    • November 15, 16, 17, 18 & 19: Shrek the Musical presented by Jamestown Community Theatre. 

  • North Kingstown – November 29: Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony in Wickford Village. Celebrate the beginning of the Christmas season while shopping and dining. View the beautiful holiday window displays created by the Wickford Merchants. 

  • Block Island –

    • November 23: The 27th Annual Block Island Shopping Stroll. Thanksgiving weekend is the best time for holiday shopping. Enjoy a fun family weekend of shopping, hiking, and enjoying the outdoors in Block Island. Shops will be decorated for the season and offering discounts and hospitality all weekend long. 

    • November 24: The 14th annual 5k Turkey Trot. A 3-mile run or walk around Block Island

  • Bristol –

  • Providence –

    • November 1 - 4: Jack-o-Lantern Spectacular at The Roger Williams Park Zoo. This year's show includes more than 5,000 intricately carved pumpkins featuring scenes of wizards, fairy-tales, and the luminaries of great myths and legends, alongside superheroes, and historical figures who changed our world. Revel in the sights and sounds of the season at the spectacular.  

    • November 8 - December 30: A Christmas Carol put on by Trinity Repertory Company. 

    • November 10: Full Lighting for WaterFire. A WaterFire Salute to Veterans. 

    • November 23: Walk Your Turkey Off On The Trails with the Neutaconkanut Hill Conservancy Inc. 

  • Wakefield – 

    • November 3: The 16th Annual Pumpkin Launch. Celebrate some pumpkin chukin' fun at The Farmer's Daughter with the pumpkin launch, tons of games, and arts & crafts. 

    • November 18: Mews Tavern Gear "N" Beer 6.9K. Lace up your running shoes and join in on the 6.9K run to benefit Easterseals RI. Every registration includes race fees, a free pint at the Mews, wristband for beer, food, and an event t-shirt. 


  • Mystic – 

    • November 5 - 11: Mystic Restaurant Week

    • November 2: Veterans Day Classic 3 Miler

    • November 3: The 10th Annual Harvest Festival. A free, family-fun event with horse drawn wagon rides, activities for children, face painting, musical entertainment, kettle corn, apple cider, and much more.

    • November 17: The NOLA Cheese Festival. A celebration of more than 100 artisan cheese from all over the world. Stroll the grounds of the New Orleans Jazz Museum at the U.S. Mint while listening to great music, sampling cheeses, tasting specialty foods and sipping on wine, cider and beer. 

    • November 17: NOLA Wing Wars. 4 Bands, 20 Restaurants and over 40,000 Chicken Wings. 

    • November 23 - December 30: Audubon Zoo Lights. An enchanting nighttime winter dreamland in the heart of Uptown New Orleans. 

  • Shreveport –

    • November 1 - 11: The 2018 State Fair of Louisiana. This is the 112th Edition of the State Fair of Louisiana featuring the largest carnival midway and livestock shows in the state. Bring the entire family for all the fair food, carnival rides, games, exhibits, zoo, attractions, entertainment, livestock shows, the rodeo, cheer competitions, cooking contests and more. 

    • November 2, 9, 16 & 23: Movies in the Park in Provenance. This is a free, family-fun event that takes place on Friday nights throughout November. Enjoy the movie along with great food truck options. 

    • November 4: A Very Shreveport Christmas. Enjoy great local shopping, superior margaritas, pizza, donuts, tons of giveaways and more. 

    • November 30: The 4th Annual Tinsel 2018. Shreveport's most unique holiday shopping in the area's most popular stores, in a private after-hours environment. There are over 30 stores participating and offering a variety of complimentary food, beverages, and discounts to Tinsel shoppers.

    • November 3 - 4: The 22nd Annual Austin Celtic Festival. This is the largest gathering of the Celts to celebrate Celtic culture and fun in Austin. There will be music, dancing, storytelling, workshops, and more. 

    • November 10: The 2018 Austin LobsterFest. An afternoon celebration of the lobster served with delicious accompaniments, great drinks and live entertainment. 

    • November 17: The Gingerbread Fun Run. Go as fast as you can while chasing a festive Gingerbread Man around Mueller Lake Park. There will also be hands-on activities for the entire family before and after the run and inside the Thinkery Museum. 

    • November 27: The Driskill Holiday Tree Lighting. Kick off the holiday season with the annual lighting of The Driskill tree accompanied by the beautiful sounds of holiday music and caroling. 

  • Dallas –

    • November 1 - 12: Autumn at the Arboretum. A fall festival with a spectacular show of color with 4,500 of fall's favorite flowers- Chrysanthemums, along with 150,000 more stunning, fall blooming plants! 

    • November 3: Fall into Deep Ellum Block Party. Come "fall" into Deep Ellum and celebrate the opening of the new plaza. This is a free family-fun event from 2 - 6 PM that will feature pop-up shops, complimentary adult drinks, complimentary nail art, and much more. 

    • November 10: The 10th Annual Trinity River Run 2018. Enjoy a flat, fast and scenic course during a sunset half marathon run. 

    • November 24: Deep Ellum Mimosa Walk: Small Business Saturday. Shop small business Saturday in Deep Ellum to pick up your best gifts that Deep Ellum has to offer and sip mimosas as well. Upon check-in, guests will receive a souvenir glass, map, and wristband to get free mimosas at each location on the map.

  • Huntington Beach – 

    • November 3: Surf-Asana - a Surf inspired yoga event. This yoga event is open to all levels and is designed to better one's surf. 

    • November 3: Concert at the Beach. Spend the day at the beach with the Tijuana Dogs. This outdoor, beach side venue in Huntington Beach is the perfect spot to dance in the sand with a cold drink in hand. 

    • November 9 - 10: The California Wine Festival - Huntington Beach Edition. Wine, food, music, sea, and sun. What more could you want at an event?!

  • Newport Beach –

    • November 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 & 25: Kayaking the Upper Newport Bay. One of the best ways to appreciate Upper Newport Bay is to get out on the water! Kayaking is fun and easy so be sure to bring your family and friends to this event. 

    • November 5: Pour & Paint - Wine Christmas. Join in for a fun night of Acrylic painting and show off your creativity while enjoying food and beverages. 

    • November 7: The History of The Boat Parade & Holiday Dinner Celebration at the Historic Balboa Pavilion. Ring in the Newport Beach Holiday Social Season at this awesome event. Enjoy a delicious traditional turkey dinner with your friends and family overlooking picturesque Newport Harbor. 

    • November 15: Fitness Hike at Ridge Park. Raise your heart rate and your spirits on this moderate, fast-paced, 6.5-mile hike over very steep, uneven terrain with Laguna Canyon Foundation Volunteers. 

  • Long Beach –

    • November 1: The First Annual Dia De Los Muertos Celebration. This is a free, family-friendly celebration. During the event, enjoy the showing of Disney's, Coco, while sitting under the stars on Pine Avenue. The movie begins at 6 PM. There will also be specials from local business owners on Pine Avenue. 

    • November 17: Friendsgiving on the Beach. With a view of the Pacific Ocean, this event hopes to delight all of your senses with a Caribbean fusion meal and an artist-led painting lesson. 

  • San Francisco –

    • November 1 - 3: The Queen Mary's Dark Harbor 2018. This is Southern California's most authentically terrifying haunt. The Queen Mary's Dark Harbor is a thrill-seekers' delight, blurring the lines of history and hysteria. 

    • November 3 - 4: The 7th Annual SF International Tea Festival. Tickets to this event include, tastings from local and global producers, swag bag with your very own porcelain teacup to savor tea and even more samples to enjoy at home. 

    • November 11: The San Francisco Fall Cider Festival. Slip on your softest sweater, snuggle into your favorite scarf, and drink in the crispness of autumn at this Cider Festival. At the event, you will be able to grab a glass and sip your way through unlimited pours of 30+ juicy apple, pear, pomegranate, and sour cranberry ciders. 

    • November 23 - January 1: 29th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting at Union Square

    • November 24 - 25: TreasureFest Halloween Market. Some of the highlighted features of this event include - free mini pumpkins, a DIY painting pumpkin station, Costume Contest, Trick or Treating at vendor booths, and more. 

    • November 30: Nightmare Before Christmas Beer Festival. Come abroad the Historic Queen Mary for this Special Edition Nightmare Before Christmas Inspired Beer Festival. 

  • Los Angeles –

    • November 9: The Los Angeles Coffee Festival 2018. This is the first ever L.A. Coffee Festival landing in Downtown L.A. this November. This will be L.A.'s flagship coffee event, celebrating the burgeoning specialty coffee scene, as well as food, music and art in this great city of culture. 

    • November 16 - January 6: Reindeer Romp at the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens. Real reindeer will be making the L.A. Zoo their home for the holidays. Visit with them in Reindeer Village daily, where you will also find enchanting photo ops and fascinating facts about Santa's favorite furry friends. 

    • November 23: Snow Day L.A. 2018. This is LA's first winter tubing park located 5 minutes from Downtown L.A. There will be interactive light shows, food trucks, games, giant mountain, penguin light path, and curling lanes. 

    • November 23: Picnic & Wine Tasting with Live Jazz


  • Port Angeles – 

    • November 17: The 2018 Winterfest. Celebrate the start of the 61st season of winter sports at Hurricane Ridge.  

    • November 23: The 28th Annual Festival of Trees Gala. At the Gala you will be able to enjoy a buffet dinner featuring many top local restaurants. Along with dinner, there will be an opportunity to view and bid on 44 live and silent auction tress as well as the chance to bid on many beautiful wreaths and other auction items. 

  • Sequim – November 10: Puget Sound Orca Recovery Day. The world's southern resident killer whale - the Orca - population is facing a crisis. On November 10, ten conservation districts around Puget Sound will be hosting events to celebrate, honor, and help restore the local Orca population. 

  • Seattle –

    • November 2 - 3: America's Test Kitchen Seattle EATS Festival. On Friday, join the cast of the TV shows and Seattle's best chefs to celebrate 25 years of America's favorite cooking magazine. On Saturday, enjoy the Seattle EATS Festival by eating and drinking your way through the main event food from Seattle's top restaurants. 

    • November 3: The 26th Annual Oyster New Year. An Oyster lovers annual excuse to eat, drink, and be eco-friendly has arrived. The event includes 30+ varieties of local oysters shucked to order, over 60 wineries, local micro-brews, live music, the famous oyster luge, and tons of raffle prices.  

    • November 8: Seattle Winter Cider Fest 2018. Hard cider is currently a very hot brew, and now you can celebrate beverage and the coming winter with numerous tastings of the seasonal libation. 

    • November 8: The 38th Annual Seattle International Comedy Competition. This is America's largest touring comedy festival which is playing 22 shows in 26 days at 18 different venues.

    • November 24: The 2018 Winterfest taking place in Cleveland Public Square. Enjoy fun and entertaining games, ice skating, live music, winter treats and even sleigh rides! This is a free event designed for all ages. 

    • November 24: The 2018 Pigskin Classic 5K. Ohio State vs. Michigan is one of the greatest rivalries in college sports. During this 5K, run for the team you love! 


  • Nashville –

    • November 9 - 11: Christmas Village 2018. Christmas Village is one of the oldest charitable events in Nashville, supported and run entirely by volunteers! The Village brings together 260+ unique merchants selling gifts, clothes, jewelry, antiques, holiday wares and food. 

    • November 10: The 5th Annual Nashvember 2018. A free, family-friendly festival that hosts Nashville's favorite vendors, food trucks, live DJ, art, gaming area, and much more. 

    • November 23 - December 30: Holiday Lights. This is one of Nashville's favorite traditions featuring one million lights that people can walk through and around. 

    • November 24: Yoga Under the Stars in the Adventure Science Center. Yoga Under the Stars brings an outward shift to the normal experience of practicing yoga.

    • November 1 - 19: Prismatica. An interactive art installation that turns heads with countless, colorful reflections made by its giant prisms.     • November 4: All Things Detroit & Food Truck Rally 2018. Enjoy a trade show that showcases small businesses in a way that is fun and exciting along with exposing Michigan's best kept secrets. 

    • November 20 & 25: Holiday Markets 2018. In addition to the Saturday Market that operates year-round, Eastern Market Corporation is having seven addition markets that are free for all ages to enjoy, for the holiday season. 

    • November 22: The 2018 Strategic Staffing Solutions - Turkey Trot. All participants will receive a long-sleeved shirt! 

    • November 22: America's Thanksgiving Parade. Welcome in the holiday season with this true Michigan tradition in the heart of Downtown Detroit. Every year, hundreds of thousands of Parade spectators line the historic Woodward Avenue Thanksgiving morning to watch the larger than life floats, marching bands, and specialty acts. 


  • Port Washington –

    • November 17: The Port Washington Winter Market. Come join the community at the first Winter Market of the season. Enjoy local and fresh produce, eggs, granola, cupcakes and much more. 

    • November 24: Christmas Light Competition hosted by Lake Financial Group. Lake Financial Group hopes to provide the city with a chance to have fun, and to be involved as a community throughout the holiday season. Participate in this competition by decorating with hundreds of Christmas lights. If you don't live in this area or simply don't want to be in the competition, be sure to drive around & check out all the beautiful lights. 

    • November 29: Create Fresh Christmas Wreath Workshop. Hosted by Gene Fransee & Son Nursey & Landscaping, this DIY fresh Christmas wreath workshop lets community members lean how to hand-tie and decorate a wreath.

The Bahamas –

  • November 1 - 4: Bahamas Shoot 2018. A 3D and Target archery tournament with competition divisions for archers of all skill levels, pros and beginners alike.

  • November 2 - 4: Governor's Harbour Homecoming at Anchor Bay. This festival attracts locals and visitors for fun-filled activities that include Junkanoo rush-out, live band performances, native dishes and tons of other games.  

  • November 3 - 4: Annual Guy Fawkes & Bonfire Celebrations. The historical Guy Fawkes Competition, where judging of the Best Guy and Dancing of the Guy will be the highlight of the night. Those in attendance will also have the opportunity to feast on delicious Bahamian food and drinks. 

  • November 4, 11, 18 & 25: Jazz by the Sea. A concert provided by a variety of local artists. Admission is free and the event is always kid friendly.  

  • November 8 - 11: The Wahoo Smackdown. Bimini Big Game Club Resort and Marina will host the annual Wahoo Smackdown. This is an offshore tournament which will be led by longtime club dockmaster Captain Robbie Smith. Bimini has more than 50 record-setting catches recorded from the waters that surround the island! 

  • November 9 & 23: Changing of the Guard. A tradition since 1958, the Changing of the Guard ceremony features the world-renowned Royal Bahamas Police Force Marching Band and Royal Bahamas Defense Force Guards. 

  • November 10: Exuma Marathon. The Exuma Marathon is a 31-mile race around the island. 

  • November 14 - 16: The Grand Bahama Tech Summit. The Office of the Prime Minister Grand Bahama, in keeping with its mandate to develop Grand Bahama as a Technology Hub, will host the 2nd Annual Grand Bahama Technology Summit at the Grand Lucayan Convention Center. 

  • November 15 - 18: The annual NCAA Men's Junkanoo Jam. This is an annual basketball tournament which feature NCAA Men's basketball teams from various universities and colleges throughout the United States. Many of the nation's finest men's programs have converged in The Bahamas to test their skills and enjoy some fun in the sun. 

  • November 15 - 17: The 1st Annual Old Bahama Bay Wahoo Charity Cup 2018. A non-for-profit tournament with all proceeds going to Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI. The Cup will be hosted at Old Bahama Bay West End, Grand Bahama Island. The tournament is a two day tournament targeting the ever going popular among sport fishing teams in South Florida, Wahoo. 

  • November 21 - 24: The 16th Annual NCAA Women's Junkanoo Jam. An annual basketball tournament which features NCAA Women's basketball teams from various universities and colleges throughout the United States. 

  • November 22: Thanksgiving Potluck Dinner at the Great Harbour Cay Marina. 

  • November 24: Hope Town Box Cart Derby. Box carts of all description are designed and constructed by local Elbow Cay contenders and other patrons for the annual 'Big Hill Box Cart' challenge and family-fun day.

The British Virgin Islands –

  • November 1 - 30: The BVI Food Fete. This is the British Virgin Islands Culinary Month which originally launched in 2014 to bring greater awareness to the islands' diverse culinary scene. The Fete will feature many different events over the course of the entire month! 

  • November 3: Taste of the BVI. Sample dishes from the best restaurants on Tortola while also enjoying live entertainment and competitions between local and guest chefs 

  • November 6 - 9: The BVI Charter Yacht Society Boat Show. Signalling the start of the Caribbean cruising season, the CYS BVI Chater Yacht Show brings together the finest charter yachts in the region as well as the industry professionals from across the world. 

  • November 10 - 11: Jost Pork Festival. This event features all dishes Pork; Stew Pork, Grilled Pork, pulled pork, you name it, will be available. 

  • November 22: Foxys Thanksgiving Dinner. Diners seeking a more traditional Thanksgiving dinner can choose their four-course fixed priced Turkey dinner. Those who want to break tradition, can check out their a la carte menu offerings, which features favorites such as grilled local lobster. 

  • November 23: Anegada Lobster Crawl. 

  • November 24 - 25: Anegada Lobster Festival. This is a one of a kind experience which has become an internationally acclaimed culinary event. Enjoy lots of samples of spiny Lobster prepared and plated by some of the best cooks of the BVI's.

  • November 24 - 29: The 2018 Necker Cup. This is a six-day/five-night, all inclusive world class pro-am Tennis Event that takes place on Necker Island, Sir Richard Branson's private island in the BVI's. Sixteen ATP/WTA Tour Players/Legends are paired up with sixteen amateur teams of all levels, who compete in this fun and spirited tennis competition.  

  • November 30 - December 1: Christmas on DeCastro Street. Enjoy local foods, traditional music, and local vendors.

Puerto Rico –

  • November 1: Noche de Catrinas taking place in Old San Juan. A traditional "Día de los Muertos," Day of the Dead, celebration honoring the memory of those who passed away along with those lost as a result of Hurricane Maria. There will be a traditional "Alter of the Dead," entertainment, and lots of traditional Mexican foods. 

  • November 2 - 4: Monster Jam. Enjoy a typical monster truck show at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan. 

  • November 10: MojitoFest. Taking place at the Convention Center in San Jaun, celebrate the mojito cocktail! At this festival there will be drinks and food samples from many bars and restaurants located around the island as they compete to be named the restaurant with "the best mojito." 

  • November 11: Free admission to the Forts. Enjoy free admission to the San Juan National Historic Site - El Morrow and Fort San Cristobal in Old San Juan in honor of Veterans Day. 

  • November 17 - 18: The Annual Poinsettia Festival. A family-oriented Festival with different Mexican foods, music, and of course poinsettia's for sale. 

  • November 18: Calle Loiza - Culinary Fest. A food and drink Festival featuring some of the most popular restaurants in Puerto Rico. This Festival is happening at CAlle Loiza in Santurce. 

  • November 29 - 30: Le Feria - The Park. This event is an annual amusement park that takes place at Hiram Bithorn Stadium parking lot in San Juan. There will be rides, shows, a kiddie land, entertainment, food and great music.
