Our holiday gift guide squeaked into the #10 spot, stepping in for the 2017 #10 post reporting on the Dismal Swamp's post-hurricane recovery. From gadgets to books to some pretty sweet gear, we hope we made Santa's work a little easier.

9. The Best Hurricane Holes Marinas in the Chesapeake, Carolinas, and Florida

This post, along with our list of 100 Marinas You Can Reserve Dockage at Instantly and The Fastest (Marina) Guns in the West, was fun to share for the simple reason that cheering on marinas is one of our favorite things, and it's exciting to see so many embracing technology.

We had a bigger reaction to this post than we anticipated! It seems boaters everywhere had been looking for a better solution to dockside transactions.
